Briargrove Real Estate
It seems appropriate that one of the most family-oriented and friendliest neighborhoods in Houston began with one family who decided to move outside of the city limits in search of peace and quiet.

In the late 1940s, Houston pioneers Mary Jo and Walter Peckham packed up their two children, migrated to family property, paved a small road and built their dream home. In the 1950s, the Peckham family sold the Iand to developers who fashioned the area into the Briargrove of today, a collection of approximately 1,000 homes. The award-winning elementary school is one of the biggest draws for parents, and the neighborhood’s community spirit and active support of the area schools is legendary.
Briargrove’s community pool/recreation facility, the elementary school’s jogging track and the school’s playground are year-round gathering spots used by all. With its ranch-style homes and shady streets, Briargrove offers the best of both worlds for its residents: friendly suburban living and close proximity to Houston’s business, shopping and cultural centers.
